Valley Lutheran High School offers students an excellent high school education in a learning environment where relationships are built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. If you would like to visit or learn more about our school, please contact Tom Roekle, Director of Student Recruitment or call us 989-790-1676. Whether you are considering attending our school or simply want to learn more about us, welcome!

Admissions

A freshman class of about 100 students is admitted each year. The number of transfers taken each year is dependent upon available space. Admission is based on the student's suitability to the academic program and the general school community. A registration form is available for download, or you can call (989-790-1676) or stop by the school office for a hard copy.

Visit Us

This year's Fall Information Night for interested 7th and 8th graders and their families will be held on Tuesday December 2 beginning at 7 p.m. This evening will give visitors the chance to hear about the school programs from faculty members, current parents and students.

Third Sunday Open Houses are held from 2 until 3 p.m. on the third Sunday of February, March, April and May. Come in for a tour of the school, hear about the school programs, and get your questions answered in an informal setting.

Interested 8th graders can spend the day or part of a day "shadowing" one of our students. Contact Tom Roekle, Director of Student Recruitment (989-790-1676) to make "shadowing" arrangements. Parents are welcome to tour the school and visit classes during the school day as well.

Financial Assistance

All financial aid is need based. Aid is for subsidizing tuition costs and is based on availability of funds and financial necessity. Applications may be received from any interested families (association members and non-association members) and will be considered equally.

The Financial Assistance application deadline is May 1. Late applications are considered as funds are available. The Christian School Tuition Assistance Service is utilized in analyzing the applicant's finances. Applications are available in the school office after January 1 each year, or can be accessed online by clicking here.

International Students

Approximately 5 of our estimated 360 students are from outside the United States. Foreign students must complete the standard registration. Valley Lutheran High School is able to issue an I-20 to students with a F1 Visa after students are accepted. The SEVIS (Student Exchange and Visitor Program) website provides visa information and offers a variety of other information. (http://www.ice.gov/sevis/index.htm)

Non-Discrimination Policy

Valley Lutheran High School admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to the students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
