Campaign for the 21st Century Classroom
On July 1, 2012 Valley Lutheran High School began a campaign to raise $400,000 by June 30, 2012. This major effort focuses on two primary goals:
Student Aid is critical to our school as tuition rates increase and our local economy struggles. The goal is to raise and distribute $230,000 to help families provide a Christian high school education for their children.
21st Century Classroom Initiative is a bold effort to go beyond the integration of technology into the curriculum as teachers are challenged to implement innovative teaching strategies that will better meet the needs of the 21st Century student. This effort not only requires new technology but also professional development for our faculty in order to take these important steps. Two very exciting steps were taken over the summer as we deployed a 30 station IPAD mobile lab and installed wi-fi. Our goal is to raise $65,000 in this effort.
The Valley Lutheran Foundation is important to the school's long-term success. It is no secret that schools with significant endowments are able to supplement tuition and thus allow for the school's continued growth. Our goal is to add an additional $100,000 to our endowment fund - the Valley Lutheran Foundation.
