Service Days - Program Description

The cornerstone of community service at Valley Lutheran are the semi-annual school-wide Service Days. Students are organized into the "Family Groups" that engage in Bible study and plan and conduct a fall and spring community service project each year. Projects address a variety of community needs ranging from cleaning along the highway, to painting at the Red Cross, to preparing food for distribution with the Eastern Michigan Food Bank, to playing games and visiting with senior citizens, to working with pre-school children and many others. If you or your organization would like to be considered as a Service Day project, please contact Steve Zill (989-790-1676).

Other student organizations who are actively engaged in community service are the National Honor Society, Advisor Barb Doyle and Key Club, Advisor Kim Reiss.
