Attention Students:

• Seniors – If your colleges ask for a 7th semester (“midyear”) transcript to be sent, you can order these through Parchment. Simply order the document as you would normally, but select “Hold For Grades” instead of “Send Now” in the dropdown. These documents will be released after January 23rd.
• Volunteers are needed for The Grade School Girls Basketball Tournament (which raises funds for post-prom) held this weekend at VLHS, between 8-5pm Saturday, and 12-4pm Sunday. Please call Chris Frank at 737-5015 if you have any questions or need further information. Thanks for any help that may be possible!

• Do you like science, math, technology and engineering? Do you like serving others and want to change the world? ‘We Are Innovators’ is a service learning program sponsored by Dow and WE Schools that aims to inspire young people to address global challenges through STEM solutions. Come to an informational meeting after school on Friday, January 17th in room 106 to find out more!
• To celebrate life and those who choose it, next week Tuesday and Wednesday will be dress up and activity days. Tuesday wear pink or blue in remembrance of the babies that have lost their lives. We will also pray after chapel and after school. After school, we will go to the abortion clinic to pray. If you would like to join, meet in Mrs. Winter’s room for a ride. Wednesday will be a pro life t-shirt day.
• For any boys interested in participating in golf this spring, there will be an informational meeting Wednesday, January 22nd in the P.E. hallway by Mr. Smith’s office during meeting time.

• CHICKEN BBQ RESCHEDULED: The St. John Amelith Men’s Athletic Club will be barbecuing chicken at Valley Lutheran on Sunday, January 19th. Dinner will be served from 11am-1:30 pm. Price is $11 for a half chicken meal or $9 for a quarter chicken meal. Please consider joining us or order for take-out. Proceeds will benefit the athletic, drama and music departments at Valley Lutheran. Thank you for your support!

• Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw is have a 1950’s Sock Hop from 6-9pm Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, with entertainment for ALL AGES! Tickets include Hot dog, chips, self-serve popcorn and cake; ice-cream float or banana split. Tickets are $12 for singles, $20 for couples or $40 for families. Tickets are available at Peace Lutheran Church or Peace Lutheran School. Advance ticket deadline: Sunday, Jan. 12. Tickets will be available at the door for $5 more. It is the largest annual fundraiser supporting an exceptional Christian high school education. • Desserts needed! One popular auction item is Dessert of the Month. Twelve volunteers deliver dessert to the winning bidder from March 2020 to February 2020. We are in need of a few more volunteers. Delivery is a mutually agreeable day between the baker and winning bidder. A dessert to serve about 12 is standard and the baker’s choice. • CrossRoads Counseling Ministries is sponsoring a FREE, Frankenmuth Area Caregiver Support Group, that will meet every 4th Thursday of each month beginning January 23, 2020, 11am to noon, at Winter Village, Harmony Hall, 255 Mayer Road, Frankenmuth. Brian Wilson, Licensed Professional Counselor, will be the facilitator. Open to the public!
