Attention Students:

• Sophomores, if you would like to order a class ring, please be sure to get your packet to your parents. Herff Jones will be here on the 26th from 11-1 and 3-5 to take orders.
• College Rep Visits for this week: Northern Michigan University on Thursday (9/21) and Delta College on Friday (9/22). If you are applying to college this year or next year and are at all interested in these schools, see Mrs. Mueller for a pass ASAP.

• Student council meeting 3rd hour on Wednesday. 2nd-hour reps and class officers please be present.
• Citizens of the United States have celebrated Independence Day and Presidents' Day since the 1870s, and in 2005, the nation began to celebrate Constitution Day. Also, know as Citizenship Day, Constitution Day is an American holiday honoring the day 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the United States Constitution. This historic date was September 17, 1787.
• Two students are needed to clean a yard (pick up limbs, sticks, etc.) located at a West Saginaw Township residence. Pay is $15/hr to be shared. Own transportation is a must. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Krueger in the office.
• The Saginaw Art Museum is looking for some part-time staff to work primarily Saturday's from 12-5. Duties would include manning the reception desk, greeting visitors, accepting admission money, answering basic questions and cleaning. We are also looking for some part-time garden work (pulling weeds, picking up trash, etc.) for approximately 20-25 hours per week until fall cleanup is complete and then again in early spring 2018 through the summer. It's possible it could work into a seasonal full-time position depending on budgeting. Please check in the office for contact information. You need to be at least 16 to apply.
• All current AP students - AP Exam Fees are due to the front office or Mrs. Mueller by Friday, September 29th. Cost is $94 per exam. Fees are only being collected for exams in designated AP courses at this time. Elective exam fees (not associated with a course at VL) will be collected at the beginning of the second semester.
• Do you have an interest in volunteering to read with kids at Peace? If so, please see Mrs. Behnke for contact information. It is also posted in the hallway news sections. This would be great for those of you trying to earn an Honors Diploma.
• Global Awareness will be selling chip burgers Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week for $2 each. A chip burger is like an ice cream sandwich but with cookies on the top and bottom. The profits will all be going to a Lutheran school in Texas that was greatly affected by Hurricane Harvey. You can also donate above and beyond if you feel motivated to help restore the destruction. Beat the heat & support a good cause. They will be sold after school in the cafeteria.
• Today was the first day to turn in fundraiser money/books. How have sales been going? Remember 3 sold gets you a cash prize. Friday will be the next turn in day.
• Anyone interested in Pom’s conditioning Tues-Thur @ 3:45.
• NHS meeting Thursday @ 7:45 am in the RC.

Attention Parents:

• Financial Aid Night will be Thursday at 7:00 pm in the RC.
• Dogsitter needed - looking for someone who can stop by a house in Saginaw Township on weekdays (or most weekdays) and give 4 wonderful dogs a little break outside. This works great for a Delta student who is on their way to class or someone who works afternoons. Please give name and contact number to Heidi in the school office.
