Chapel 3/26/20

Good Morning, Chargers!  Here are some chapel thoughts from Dr. Brandt:

I don’t know about you, but the last few weeks it has been tough finding the positives in life.   Each time I think we might be nearing a turning point, we are, but it’s another “wrong” turn.  Paul offers a way off this treadmill of negativity –

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is just, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable,
if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things.
What you have learned and received and heard and
seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
(Philippians 4:8-9)

Now take a closer look at this passage:

Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father – It is so easy to be consumed by negative things.  Right now it is the pandemic, but at other times it is our relations with friends, or worry about school, and the list goes on and on.  Forgive me for failing to put my full trust in you.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit inspire me to think on things that are honorable, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent, and praiseworthy.  Help me to see these qualities in others and especially in your son Jesus Christ.  Amen.
