Welcome to another opportunity to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Some members of our Valley Lutheran family have gone through some extremely tough times these last 6 weeks. There have been some who have been very sick or have dealt with an injury and/or surgery. Some have lost members of their family. Some are struggling with depression. Some are feeling stressed or trapped. Some families may be struggling financially.

While these things could also have been true prior to our quarantine, the forced separation from our friends and family has removed the physical presence of our regular support system. It is easy to feel very alone.

But remember that God is here. And He cares. And He listens. And He is still ruler and Savior of the universe. During this time of separation from people, you might be able to feel His presence even more. Listen to His word. Raise up your prayers to your Heavenly Father. Start your day with a song of praise. He is here and He loves you.

Matthew 10:29-31

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

God Only Knows, by For King and Country

Dear Jesus,

Help me to feel your presence when things are difficult and I feel alone. Remind me of your tremendous love and grace. Thank you for your strength and power. Amen.
