Scripture
“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23

Insight
The ancient people of Israel faced significant challenges, many of which threatened their very existence. Time and time again, God came through for them. And they knew that it was God’s amazing love for them that sustained them, so they wrote these words down for us to also remember and know. It’s that same love through the ages that sustains us. Every morning, God’s love and compassion for us is new — it starts all over with the start of every day. And today, like every day down through the ages, we can count on that fact. Go in God’s amazing love for you today.

Prayer
God of the Ages,
We know your people have faced many challenges throughout time, and we know that you always come through. Your love for us never fails; it renews each and every morning. As we face the challenges of our times, we ask you to make that amazing love evident in and around us. Help us to see it, feel it, know it — so that we can point to it and claim it for ourselves and others. Thank you for this promise that you fulfill daily in our lives. Protect us and our loved ones, and those we are called to serve as we pass through this difficult time. Thank you for your great love and its daily renewal.

In your holy name we pray.  Amen.
