Chapel – 5/6/20

How are you doing? Are you hanging in there? This is a truly bizarre situation we have found ourselves in. And one of the toughest challenges is that we do not have any idea when or how this will end. I know we will get through this but it is tough when we don’t know for how long. And in all likelihood, there will be some changes to our normal life that will last. If you are like me, you may have had a thought similar to this….”I don’t know if I can make it through this.” Especially now, when we have been doing this for 7 weeks, we can feel weak and incapable.

I want you to know that the Valley faculty and staff are praying for you – as a group and individually by name. They are praying for your family. They are praying for a way to hold some of the spring events that are important to you. They are praying for a return to school in the fall where they can once again see you every day. And they pray to a God who is stronger than anything in this world. He has all the strength for us to make it through and come out on the other side victorious. Turn it all over to Him and trust that He will be there every step of the way, helping you to put one foot in front of the other until you reach the finish line.

We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is that you may be fully restored. (2 Corinthians 13:9)

Pray with me: Dear Lord, Thank you for being my strength and salvation. Help me not to rely on my own strength but on You and your everlasting power and love. Please be with me and my family during this stressful time. Remind us that in You we will be victorious, not only during this quarantine but also in receiving eternal life paid for by your Son. Amen.
