New Faces and New Roles for the 2021-22 Year

We are grateful for the following individuals who are serving alongside us this year!

Pastor Paul Biber: Math Teacher

Pastor Biber is joining us this year as our Pre-Calculus teacher.  He has a bachelors and master’s degree in math from the University of Southern California (USC) and previous teaching experience in math.  He currently serves as Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Saginaw.  We are blessed by the expertise Pastor Biber brings to the position!

 

Amy Cooper: Director of Communications and Admissions

This year Mrs. Cooper moves into a newly created Director of Communications and Admissions role at Valley.  She has previously served in various positions including math teacher and Admissions Counselor.  We’re excited for her to move into this new leadership role, overseeing all Valley communication efforts while continuing to work with incoming families throughout the admission process.

 

Tasha Mulder: Athletic Trainer, Teacher

We are excited to announce Mrs. Mulder as our new Athletic Trainer!  This is a new position for Valley Lutheran and one we are excited to now have.  Mrs. Mulder has many years of previous experience in this role and we are grateful for her leadership in this area.  She will continue teaching health classes at Valley as well. (And the next time you’re on campus, consider checking out the newly updated Training Room!)

 

Karl Seidel: Food Service Coordinator

Mr. Seidel  has many years of experience in food service.  After retiring early he was looking for a meaningful way to serve.  We are grateful he has joined us at Valley!

 

Eric Smith: Strength & Conditioning Coach, Teacher

Mr. Smith made the decision to step down from the Athletic Director position in order to pursue his passion (and the topic of his Masters!) as Valley’s new Strength & Conditioning Coach.  He will work with Valley athletes and students to grow their physical health and wellbeing, while continuing his work in the classroom teaching Health and Fitness for Life.

 

David Wollenweber: Math Teacher

Mr. Wollenweber joins the Valley team with previous teaching experience in math and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Illinois University.  He is excited to share with students his love for math and engineering alongside his love for Jesus!

 

Tyler Yahn: Athletic Director & Communications Assistant

We welcome Mr. Yahn to Valley as Athletic Director & Communications Assistant.  He has prior experience in a college athletic program and the business world, as well as a Masters degree in Entrepreneurship.  We are excited to watch these blend to serve Mr. Yahn in his new position!
