Welcome to Summer Break! Summer creates a break for students for sure, but most adults find summer to be a break from the normal routines as well. Summer is filled with vacations, activities, trips, and usually, a different form of busyness.
Let me encourage everyone to include something in your “Summer Break” that Jesus lived, encouraged, and reinforced during his time on earth.
Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he [Jesus] said to them [disciples], “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Mark 6:31
Jesus invited his busy disciples to find a place to get away with him to find some rest! Enjoy your summer! Have fun with the beautiful weather and change of pace! Enjoy the people and places! Enjoy daily time with Jesus, and His word, by yourself in a quiet place and get some rest!!
