Mark your calendars now for Valley Lutheran Homecoming 2019, September 23-28! The theme for the week is “Seasons.”
Students will enjoy a variety of dress-up days throughout the week. Monday is “Class Color Day” (seniors – black, juniors – blue, sophomores – white, and freshmen – gray), Tuesday is “Nerd vs. Jock Day”, Thursday is “Hawaiian Day” and Friday is “Blue and Gold (Spirit) Day”. (On Wednesday students will be serving through-out the community as part of Valley’s bi-annual Service Days. No classes will be held on Wednesday.)
On Monday night (Sept. 23) the boys varsity soccer team will host Bullock Creek High School in their homecoming match at 7 p.m.
Friday’s (Sept. 27) school day will conclude with the Homecoming Pep Rally. The Grand Tailgate then begins at 4:45 p.m. (For a printable tailgate invitation, click here.) An exciting addition to the tailgate this year will be a “Valley Family” Tent where anyone is welcome to enjoy food, activities, and tailgate games! All tailgaters are invited to enjoy the Homecoming Parade complete with class floats and the presentation of the Homecoming Court starting at 5:45 p.m. Football kick-off is at 7 p.m. versus St. Louis High School with the crowning of Homecoming King and Queen at halftime.
Homecoming festivities conclude on Saturday evening (Sept. 28) with the Homecoming Dance beginning at 8 p.m. in the school gym.
