Valley Lutheran is excited to introduce Paul Reid as the new head varsity football coach. Coach Reid has over 40 years of coaching experience and is poised to take over Valley’s program.

Asked about his new role Coach Reid said, “I am excited to join the Valley Lutheran Family as their next head football coach. The school has already initiated a road map on how they hope to find success and I feel very blessed just being a part of it. Now that I am part of the community, I will include the word of God in my teachings, while at the same time creating an atmosphere of fun and competitiveness.”

Valley Lutheran’s athletic program has expanded in exciting ways in recent years with the continuing improvements of a brand new weight room and the addition of a Strength and Conditioning Coordinator and Athletic Trainer. During the interview process Coach Reid expressed how much Valley offers student-athletes, certainly in the athletic realm, but also by providing students a Christian support in faith, and support of an administration promoting a system of success.  Reid believes Valley Lutheran will give him the opportunity to connect with his players not only in football, but also in shaping their journey in life.

Valley Lutheran’s Athletic Director Tyler Yahn had the following to say about the new addition to the athletic department, “Paul gives Valley Lutheran’s football student-athletes the opportunity for success in life with Christ as their foundation. I believe Coach is the right man to help us achieve success both in our mission and on the football field.”

Reid has already started preparing for the upcoming season by building out his coaching staff, spending time on the Valley Lutheran campus, and partaking in student meet and greets (introducing himself and speaking to students who are interested in football).

Valley Lutheran would like to extend a warm welcome to Coach Reid, his family, and his new staff.
