Attention Students:
- For all boys interested in going out for basketball this year, we will have a brief re-organizational and sign up meeting today after school in the gym. We would like to start at 3:10 so please make your way there quickly after school lets out. The meeting should last 10 minutes. We look forward to seeing all of you then. GO CHARGERS!!
- JV Boys soccer players need to turn in their uniforms to Mr. Guenther ASAP!
- The girls basketball teams are in search of managers to help take stats at all home and away games this season. If interested, please find Emma VanTol, Val White or Ashley Hoffman.
- HS Chess will be meeting each Wednesday in the Computer Lab from 3:15 to 4:30 or so. Welcoming all levels. No experience needed. The club is self-directed. You can play against other Valley students (or teachers), against the computer, or against random people at your level. And once you are connected, you can play at any time of the day. Contact Mr. Streeter for questions or for the Google Classroom code (for tutorials).
- In recognition of our Volleyball team, next Tuesday will be a Blue and Gold Day for House points. Go Chargers!
- Kettering University, Mott Community College, and the University of Michigan – Flint will be hosting a virtual college night for students in the class of 2021 & 2022 in Genesee and surrounding counties (including Shiawassee and Saginaw counties!). The event will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, January 12th from 4:00-5:00. Register for this event here.
- The Delta College scholarship applications for the 2021-2022 academic year will be accepted through February 3, 2021. Go to Delta.edu/scholarships (This page explains the various opportunities available.) Click Apply for a Scholarship. Students must be accepted to Delta College before they may apply. They will use the same login and password to log into the scholarship application as they would use to log into their Delta College Portal and email. The first round of scholarships will be decided by April 6, 2021. Please don’t hesitate to email the Delta College Foundation at foundation@delta.edu if you have any questions.
