Homecoming 2017 Recap

Valley Lutheran families and friends enjoyed a wonderful close to their Homecoming week on Friday, October 6.  The school day ended with a pep rally, complete with musical chairs, tug of war, and a dance competition.  Later in the afternoon the practice soccer fields filled as churches and groups set up their tents for the annual tailgate.  (Thanks to all who helped to organize food and other tailgate details for your individual church - your efforts make this fun event possible!!)  During the tailgate the pep band helped get the crowd in the spirit for the game with their music.  The parade followed, highlighted by class floats and the introduction of court members.  Congratulations to the Junior class for their winning 50's themed float, Hotdogs and Shakes.  As part of this year's 40th Anniversary celebration, Homecoming kings and queens from the last forty years were recognized before the football game.  Halftime of the game included a complete introduction of the homecoming court as well as the crowning of King Corbin Stefanski and Queen Lauren Frank.  (See below for pictures of all the fun!)
