Flory Awarded MANS Faith-Based Office Professional Award

Mrs. Krista Flory was recently recognized as a recipient of the 2018 Faith-Based Office Professional Award by the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools. This award seeks to acknowledge the exemplary dedication shown by office professionals to students and parents in faith-based schools.

Flory served as a Lutheran school educator for 30 years before joining Valley Lutheran as a development secretary in 2007. Her role and responsibilities have changed over the last 10 years but her enthusiasm, willingness to serve, and quality work product have not. She currently serves as development associate, maintaining donor records and processing gifts, managing events, coordinating our ‘Peeks at Valley’ school open-houses, and maintaining positive relationships with donors.

Executive Director Dr. John Brandt said of Flory, “If a process doesn’t work, she fixes it. If it works, she makes it better. She has an incredible attention to detail…she is a tireless worker. She is a winsome advocate of Lutheran schools, especially ours. She is a follower of Jesus and it is evident in her relationships with others.”

Congratulations Mrs. Flory on this well-deserved recognition!
