During registration you will be asked to acknowledge receipt of the information regarding concussions available here: Required Concussion Information.

* Registrations made before May 26, 2026 will receive the early registration rate (indicated with an *). Those who register after this date will be charged the full amount.
Promotions
- Register by May 26, 2026 to receive the early registration rate! (Rate is indicated by *)
- Every 5th camp is free! Whether for an individual camper or a family, the 5th camp is ‘on us’! (Simply check the ‘Our 5th camp is free!’ box on the registration form and enter the promo code ‘5thcampfree’ if paying online.)
Payment
Payment can be made:

- by check/cash in the school office. (Please make check payable to VLHS and include ‘camps’ and your student’s name on the subject line. Mail to VLHS Summer Programs, 3560 McCarty Road, Saginaw, MI 48603.)
Additional Camp Information
- All camps will be held on site at Valley Lutheran this summer!
- Check-in will be held in the cafeteria on the first day of camp. On subsequent days campers can check-in at camp locations.
- T-shirts are guaranteed to campers who register by May 26.
- Please register early as most camps have limited enrollments!
- In the event of day-of cancellation, a notice will be posted at www.vlhs.com and participants will be contacted via the email address provided at registration.

Detailed Camp Information
June 16-19 (Tues. – Fri.)
Baseball
$70*/$80
- Age: Entering 5-9th gr.
- Time: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
- Led by: Kurt Hofmeister, VLHS Baseball coach
- Location: VLHS baseball field
- About the Program: This past year the VL baseball team won a district championship and advanced to the regional final.
Information
Please bring your own glove, bat, and cleats (if you have them) to camp each day.
Drama
$70*/$80
- Age: Entering 7-9th gr.
- Time: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
- Maximum participants: 20
- Led by: Elise Leapley, VLHS Drama Director
Description
Your chance to learn about theater–both onstage and behind the scenes! The camp will include basic knowledge of acting technique, stage movement, and character development, as well as drama games and interacting with scripts, costumes, and props.
Soccer (co-ed)
$70*/$80
- Age: Entering 7-9th gr. (experienced 6th graders may attend with coach approval)
- Time: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
- Led by: Doug Guenther, VLHS Varsity Men’s and Women’s coach
- About the Program: Coach Guenther has coached at Valley for many years, recently winning back-to-back-to-back District Championships with the boys’ program.
Volleyball (5-6th)

- Age: Entering 5-6th gr.
- Time: 10 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
- Maximum participants: 36
- Led by: Sara Skornia, VLHS Varsity assistant coach

Volleyball (7-9th)

- Age: Entering 7-9th gr.
- Time: 1 – 3 p.m.
- Maximum participants: 36
- Led by: Jon Frank, VLHS Varsity Volleyball coach

- About the Program: Last year, the Varsity team advanced to the State semi-finals after winning both District and Regional Championship titles. The team, with no seniors, finished with a 51-11 record.
June 22-25 (Mon. – Thurs.)
Band

- Ages: For students with 1 or more years of experience with their instrument
- Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Led by: Becca Sugden, VLHS Symphonic Band Director

Information
Provides students an opportunity to work on music fundamentals and technique, as well as participate in valuable summer practice time! Students will have a performance for parents on the last day of camp.
Art - FULL!

- Maximum participants: 15

Boys Basketball

Trap Shooting

- Days: Tuesday and Thursday (23, 25) ONLY
- Age: Entering 7-9th gr.
- Time: 3 – 5:30 p.m.
- Maximum participants: 10
- Location: Saginaw Field and Stream Club
- Led by: Ben Cooper, VLHS Trap Coach
Information
No prior experience required. Ammunition is included in the camp fees. Participants may bring their own shotgun or may use one of the Club’s shotguns during camp. Participants will do safety training, simulator work, and a guided round of trap shooting “set on straights.”
Wrestling
